It is a groovy, happening place, simply but soulfully decorated, with that urgent, up-for-it buzz which so many places aspire to but which so few of them can successfully accomplish. In achievement lies not only with the sensational cooking, but with the fact that it creates an oasis of pleasure. It does just exactly what you want it to do, becomes just what you want it to be. How do they manage to accomplish it here? In truth, it is an ambience which is more than anything else. The staff take themselves just as seriously as they need to, the customers take the needs of their own desires seriously, and everyone takes the food seriously. Very few other restaurants in Ireland manage to offer all of these features, but in Truffles you find a place where everything is at all times striving to be the very best it can be. | |
